  ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Vasia Pelegrati was born in Athens, in 1979. She studied photography at the Leica Academy from where she graduated in 2000. The concepts of motion, travel, anonymity, and spiritual and cultural encounters had always appealed to her. In 2006, in Denmark, as a volunteer with an international NGO, she received theoretical and practical training in matters of aid towards developing countries.

A few months later, she began a seven-month stint in an isolated village in Malawi, Africa. There she used her camera to capture images from the everyday life of a people who, only a year earlier, had suffered terribly from starvation and disease.
