“Art Week”

(organized by the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki in the framework of the “45^th Dimitria” Festival.  For this event, the Museum exhibited works from its collections in 45 venues throughout the city).

Kalfayan Galleries exhibited a copy of the remarkable artist’s book titled “ΓΡΑΦΕΙΝ” (“Grafein” - Writing) by the German artist Günther Uecker.  Published in 2002 in a limited edition of 120 copies, the book contains 12 works by the artist as well as texts taken from Byzantine, Chinese, Sanskrit and Arabic manuscripts and texts in other ancient languages, including Egyptian hieroglyphics.
