Anna Maria Tsakali
Anna Maria Tsakali (b. 1959, Athens, Greece) lives and works between Athens and Paris. She studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (studio of Leonardo Cremonini). Solo exhibitions include: “Infini Végétal”, Musée Lambinet, Versailles (2013); “As an Antidote”, Kalfayan Galleries, Athens (2007); “Portraits of Plants”, Kalfayan Galleries, Thessaloniki (2006). Group exhibitions include: “White & Black”, Frissiras Museum, Athens (2011); “Visual Arts in Greece/Artistic Innovation-Semiotics of Its Condition in the New Era”, State Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki and Kalfayan Galleries, Thessaloniki (2007); “Flowers in Contemporary Art”, Benaki Museum, Athens (2006). Works in collections: National Gallery, Athens, The Frissiras Museum, Athens, Telogleio Foundation, Thessaloniki, National Bank of Greece, Ministry of Finance of France, private collections in Greece and abroad. Anna Maria Tsakali is represented by Kalfayan Galleries, Athens – Thessaloniki.
